Our School History
St. Aloysius Girls’ Secondary School in Kibaha, Pwani Region, Tanzania, was established in 2012 by the Ursuline Franciscan Catholic Sisters . The land for the school was generously donated by Prof. Joseph Semboja, the brother of Fr. Maswetus, a close friend of the sisters in Same.
Despite its modest beginnings with minimal infrastructure, the school has experienced steady growth and development. It has earned a strong reputation at the district, regional, and national levels for its academic excellence obtaining 6 /3280 in the nation in the year 2016 and 8/3956 in 2020. In recent years, St. Aloysius Girls’ Secondary School has achieved remarkable academic success. For instance, in 2023 Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE), all 98 students achieved Division I, with an average GPA of 1.21, earning the school a Grade A (Excellent)
The school’s mission is to provide integrated education and faith formation, preparing students to become responsible global citizens capable of facing future societal challenges. The institution remains committed to its motto, “Education for fullness of life,” striving to provide quality education and holistic development for its students.
